Hearts around the World

Global ARCH / Hearts around the World

Congenital and rheumatic heart disease impacts millions of people around the world, creating isolation, illness, and uncertainty about the future. Global ARCH is building a global community by uniting and empowering patient and family organizations to provide hope and healing for every heart.

Your generous gift will go directly to our programs so that we can help our member organizations grow their reach and advocate for improved access for our heart community. Your participation in our Hearts Around the World campaign will be showcased on our world map to demonstrate our global reach in improving the lives of patients living with these heart conditions.

How to Create & Track Your Heart Path

1. Select the app you want to use:
2. Select your location
  • Decide where to complete your path either in your hometown or during your travels.
  • Helpful hint: look for areas with curvy roads.
3.  Plan your route
  • Select if you will walk, run, stroll, or ride your bike.
  • Most apps will allow you to draw your route. Draw a heart and the app should adjust the route to follow available paths and roads.
  • You may need to adjust your heart a few times to achieve the desired length and shape.
  • Helpful hint: Your path can be a Valentine’s Day heart or an anatomical heart- don’t forget every heart is unique.
  • Here are some examples: https://www.strav.art/
4.  Create your own fundraising page and start fundraising
5.  Follow your route
  • Bring your phone and follow your route.
  • Make sure to record your activity on the app.
  • Send a picture/screenshot of your map with the heart shape.
6.  Send a picture of your path or a link to your path to Global ARCH
  • Email the screenshot of your path or send a link of your map to info@global-arch.org.
  • Your heart path will be added to the Hearts around the World map to show the global reach of our community and show this “invisible” disease.
